60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 20% Carignan from the Catalonian sub-region of Terra Alta. Bàrbara Forés (the daughter of a wine merchant) began bottling wine with her son in the late 1800’s and the estate and vineyards remain in the family today, with wines made by Barbara's great-granddaughter Carme Ferrer.
The color is deep and rich for a rosado, the result of a 24 hour cold soak maceration. Cranberry, pomegranate, hibiscus and a whiff of green herbs on the nose. Juicy in the mouth, but with plenty of bracing acidity. A nice blood orange peel crunch on the finish.
