Beautiful blend of Barbera and Dolcetto from Piedmont natural wine pioneer Cascina degli Ulivi in Gavi, where their 24 hectare estate has been farmed biodynamically since 1985. With the passing of visionary winemaker Stefano Bellotti in 2018, the mission has been carried on by his daughter Ilaria.
The "Le Mat du Raisin" boasts aromas of dark berries, leather, black olive, and cedar smoke. Meaty on the palate with a touch of funk. With all that flavor packed in, the texture manages to stay lithe and graceful throughout.
