Fantastic expression of this underappreciated whisky from the Northern Highlands. Aged in a 1st fill Bourbon barrel, as opposed its more common Oloroso cask version, it shows vanilla, apricot marmalade, old wood and leather on the nose. On the palate, notes of cigar leaf and spice, with more vanilla lingering on the long finish.
