Petit Saint Vincent Saumur-Champigny 2022

Le Petit Saint Vincent comes from Dominique Joseph's youngest Cabernet Franc vines just outside the village of Varrains. The soils are sandy. It is vinified and aged entirely in cement. The combination of the aging and it being Cabernet Franc from sandy soils makes it the most immediately approachable bottling from Dominique. 

Black plum on the nose is perfumed with violet petal and hints of graphite and sous bois. Silky and balanced on the palate, with gentle notes of espresso and clove. Soft, fine-grained tannins. Lovely. 

Certified organic viticulture, 100% destemmed fruit naturally fermented and aged in concrete tank.
