40% Mourvedre, 40% Syrah, 10% Carignan, 10% Grenache. 35+ year old vines grown on soils of limestone, basalt, clay, scree, and blue marl. Certified organic viticulture. Fermented in stainless steel, then aged 24 months in 300L barrels.
Dark, brooding and earthy with notes of black plum, leather, tar and menthol on the nose. Chewy in the mouth, showing great tension and structure for its age. Brilliant! Definitely give this a couple of hours in the decanter to show its true self.
