Appellation Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux. 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on the same suberb limestone-clay soils that are found in Saint-Emilion just to the west. Inky black in the glass, with rich aromas of blackberry, garrigue, with accents of leather and tar. Dark chocolate and Damson plum emerge on the palate, with some graphite minerality on the finish. Tannins are robust yet yielding.
