100% Montepulciano, single vineyard, 35-45 year old vines, practicing biodynamic. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and rested for 1 year in concrete tanks. Seductive, inky purple/black color. Densely packed aromas of fig, prune, leather & pipe tobacco. Juicy dark fruit on the palate with notes of violet petal and almond, with black pepper on the finish. The firm tannins are a pleasant surprise, serving up a rustic quality to this wine which is also quite polished. Beautiful.
