Fresh, youthful Chardonnay from 5th generation Beaujolais winemaker Yohan Lardy. The Fleurie vineyard, planted 10 years ago on clay/silt soils is farmed organically. Hand-harvested, fermented with native yeasts at cool temperatures, then aged on fine lees for six months in stainless steel.
Golden delicious apple, quince and fennel frond on the nose, with tart pear and lemon on the palate. Balanced acidity and a lively finish. Drink with tuna tartare, country pate, bloomy rind cheeses.
