Santodeno Sangiovese Appassimento 2023

This 100% Sangiovese from the Bidente Valley of Emilia-Romagna is produced with the Appassimento technique of drying the harvested grapes for a period of time to concentrate the sugars and flavors. The result is a deep, rich red with aromas of black cherry, myrtle berry, roasted coffee and menthol. The texture is lush and mouth-filling, with a hint of residual sugar that is balanced by a vibrant acidity. Would love to meet a salty pepperoni pizza, or Gorgonzola burger. 14% abv, organic.
