Predominantly Mencia with bits of Bastardo (Trousseau) and Garnacha Tintorera, from old vines cultivated on clay soils. Classic Mencia nose of dried cherry, pomegranate, menthol and licorice. Racy notes of redcurrant and black pepper dance on the palate, supported by an earthy minerality. Long citric finish with gentle tannins. A must try for old-world Pinot Noir and Gamay lovers!
