Blend of 60% Grüner Veltliner, with 20% each Welschriesling and Chardonnay. Carbonic (intra!-cellular) fermentation for 60 days. Fresh peach and apricot on the nose, nicely counterpointed by a toasted almond/leesy quality. Tangy grapefruit pith dances on the palate with a white pepper note on the finish and some powdery tannins. Pleasant mouth-filling phenolic texture. A lively and expressive skin-contact wine from winemaker Stefan Wellanschitz in Austria's Burgenland region.
