Dom. Moyer Vin Mousseux "L'Extra Brut"

Handed down generation to generation since the 1850s, the Moyer family vineyards are now represented by Damien Moyer, the son of Dominique and grandson of Edmond, who was one of the founding winemakers of the AOC Montlouis sur Loire in 1938.

For the last 17 years, the Domaine has been farmed organically and was certified in 2020. Most the work is done by hand, harvest is manual. Damien grows only Chenin Blanc on various terroirs made of clay, silt, limestone, sand or silex and that are quite acid with very low Ph levels. Therefore, all his cuvées are sharp and lively. The first fermentation are carried out with wild yeasts but naturally; the wines do not go through malolactic. The wines are gently filtered, but not fined.
