Product Description
Chardonnay from the organically farmed Hawkeye Ranch Vineyard in the Redwood Valley of Mendocino County. Fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel and neutral oak, and matured for nine months in French oak. The wine was transferred to stainless steel to settle for an additional month before bottling.
Lovely aromas of yellow apple, white peach and lanolin. On the palate, a nice touch of butter and toffee to balance the racy orchard fruits, but never cloying or clunky. This is wine is absolutely terrific, vibrant and alive, a tribute to what California Chardonnay can acheive in the hands of a passionate winemaker.
