Château de la Greffiere Mâcon La Roche-Vineuse Blanc Sous le Bois 2023. Old vine Mâcon Chardonnay, partially fermented in barrel, rested in a combination of old and new French oak barrique. Pear nectar and almond paste on the nose, with hints of honeysuckle, fennel, and vanilla. Some weight on the palate, but with a fresh verve that makes you want to taste again. A beautiful example of a not "oak-free" Macon white. Enjoy with lemon chicken or Dover sole.
