Product Description
Dark ruby hue with the beginnings of bricking. Classic Barolo nose of cherry coulis, violet petal, cinnamon, menthol and leather. Juicy berry fruit on palate with some dark chocolate and licorice. Sturdy but not unyielding tannins. Fantastic value.
No chemical fertilizers are used in the vineyard. A manual harvest and sorting is rigorous. De-stemmed and crushed with fermentation in stainless steel tanks at moderate temperatures. Maceration on the skins for 12 days with daily pump overs. Matured for 24 months in Slovenian oak casks. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
