From Stoutridge website: "The Greek isle of Xios (Chios),the origin of mastic, lies just 3 miles from the Turkish coast and the ancient city of Smyrna, now known as Izmir. They have begun growing mastic trees, a variety of pistachio, in this area based on the fame of Xios island mastic. Izmir is known for its lemon groves and so we thought what better to commemorate all of this with Stoutridge Lemon of Izmir mastic liqueur. Think Greek limoncello, but more savory and less sweet."
