100% Niellucciu from 20 year old vines trained Gobelet. West-facing slopes looking out over the ocean, soils are silt and clay on limestone. Destemmed, no food treading, 15 days maceration, light daily pumpovers, pressed and aged in tank for two years before bottling.

This wine absolutely floored us! Inky black with crimson edges, the wine has a complex bouquet of black plum, eucalyptus, dried green herbs and violet petals. Rich and layered on the palate with hints of black truffle and dark coffee to balance the almost sweet blackberry. Firm tannins and a surprising acidity. Pair with grilled meats and game, mature hard cheeses.
