From the perilously steep, sun-drenched slate soils (Llicorella) of Southern Catalonia comes this iron fist in a velvet glove. Old vine Carignan, Grenache, and Syrah combine for dark, brooding notes of black plum, dried fig, coffee, bitter chocolate and anise. Wet earth and iron come into play on the palate. Tannins are firm, but yielding. Pair with grilled meats and hearty stews. 2018 vintage, give this wine lots of time to open up. 14.5% abv.
