The 2022 Beauchene Terroir is rustic but finessed, with black cherry, pipe tobacco, star anise and mace on the nose. The texture is medium and leaner than the 2019, but with a generous quality, firmed up with a slight chill. The spice notes abound, with fresh ground espresso and bacon fat. Still one of our favorite offerings from the appellation.
