Birichino Vin Gris 2022

Blend of Grenache 72%, Carignane 11%, Mourvèdre 7%, Cinsault 7%,and Vermentino 3%.

Sunny and crisp Rosé with aromas of strawberry, sour cherry & honeysuckle. Loverly silky texture with Pink Lady apple on palate. Gentle spice on the finish. One of our favorite Cali rosés! 

The Grenache comes from the western edge of the Salinas Valley, complimented by very old Carignane, Mourvedre, and Cinsault vines in Contra Costa and Lodi. The fruit is all hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts in a long, sequential co-fermentation in stainless steel. Malolactic fermentation is inhibited, yielding a decidedly bright and vivid wine.
